~ STATED ON CONTRACT ~

 

“IN SEASON” TRAVEL EXPENSE

(Exact dates: Friday, May 27, 2016 – Sunday, September 4, 2016)

  • Avon, Buxton or Frisco: no travel expense

  • Hatteras, Rodanthe, Salvo and Waves: $15

  • Manteo: $60

  • Nags Head: $50

  • Kill Devil Hills: $60

  • Kitty Hawk and Southern Shores: $70

  • Duck: $100 (commute time longer due to "in season")

  • Pine Island Area: $150 (commute time longer due to "in season")

  • North of Pine Island to Currituck Club Area: $200 (commute time longer due to "in season")

  • North of Currituck Club Area to end of Hwy 12 (where the 4x4 beach access begins): $225 (commute time longer due to "in season")

  • Hampton Roads Area: $350

 

  • “OFF SEASON” TRAVEL EXPENSE

    (Exact dates: Monday, September 7, 2015 – Thursday, May 26, 2016)

  • Avon, Buxton or Frisco: no travel expense

  • Hatteras, Rodanthe, Salvo and Waves: $15

  • Manteo: $60

  • Nags Head: $50

  • Kill Devil Hills: $60

  • Kitty Hawk and Southern Shores: $70

  • Duck: $80

  • Pine Island Area: $100

  • North of Pine Island to Currituck Club Area: $125

  • North of Currituck Club Area to end of Hwy 12 (where the 4x4 beach access begins): $150

  • Hampton Roads Area: $350

 

PERFORMANCE OF SERVICES. (1) Jessie shall arrive 45-90 minutes (depending on the service hired for) before the ceremony starting time to set-up and conduct sound check.  (2) Jessie shall perform all music agreed upon. (3) Jessie shall provide all musical equipment. (4) Client shall provide a 6 x 7 foot area for the cocktail hour and/or reception music performance. (5) Client shall provide access to a power outlet for the cocktail hour and/or reception music performance. If no power outlet is accessible, Client will notify Jessie within 1 week so Jessie can bring the proper equipment.

 

DEPOSIT. (1) At the time of signing the Contract, Client shall pay a non-refundable deposit of $25.00 to Jessie for the Services.  The deposit will be subtracted from the FINAL BALANCE.  (2) $25 deposit secures Client’s event date.

 

FINAL BALANCE. (1) Final balance is due two weeks prior to event date.  If sending balance through postal mail, please allow 5 business days for delivery. (2) If Client feels obliged, tips are greatly appreciated on the day of services.

 

ADDITIONAL SERVICE FEES. (1) A $25 service fee will be added if Wedding Site, Cocktail Hour Site, and/or Reception Site are not walking distance from each other (refer to #2 for exceptions). (2)  If client hires Jessie to play Solo Violin for the Cocktail Hour, the $25 service fee will be waived due to having a minimal set up.  The $25 service fee covers additional set up time and travel prior to clients wedding ceremony if client hires Jessie for Guitar & Vocals, Violin-Oke or Acoustic Duo Cocktail Hour.  (3) If client hires Jessie to play Solo Violin for a Wedding Ceremony and would like to add an additional service that requires the use of PA equipment, a $100 service fee will be applied. (For example, adding 1 or more songs in the style of Guitar & Vocals or Violin-Oke during your Wedding Ceremony). (4) A $50 service fee will be added for Sunrise Weddings.

 

SONG SELECTION PROCESS. (1) All songs chosen from Jessie’s song list(s) are included in the service.  There is no charge for songs picked from her song list(s). (2) Should client decide to request a song that is not on Jessie’s song list(s), client is allowed 2 complimentary songs at no extra charge. (3) Should client decide to request additional songs outside of Jessie’s song list(s), please refer to the next section named ADDITIONAL SONG PROCEDURE. (4) At any point during the planning stages, songs may be discussed and selected. (5) Jessie will touch base through e-mail to finalize Client’s song choices 1-2 weeks prior to your event.

 

ADDITIONAL SONG PROCEDURE. (1) As mentioned above, 2 complimentary songs are included in client’s service at no extra charge. (2) After the 2 complimentary songs, the labor for additional song requests is $20 per song, plus the cost of sheet music and audio tracks if needed. (3) Final decision about songs must be submitted 1 month prior to event to allow ample preparation time. (4) If additional songs are added after Contract has been signed by Jessie and Client, Jessie will send a revised Contract to Client.

 

FINAL BREAKDOWN. The week of the approaching event, Jessie will e-mail a final breakdown of all service information.  Final breakdown will include all general information from Contract and song choices for service. 

 

MANDATORY EVACUATION AND HIGHWAY 12 CLOSURE.  (1) Should there be a mandatory evacuation or Highway 12 road closure that would prevent Jessie from performing services for Clients event, a full refund of all deposits will be issued and balance will not be due. (2) Should there be a mandatory evacuation Highway 12 road closure that would prevent Jessie from performing services for Clients event, Jessie will do her best to re-book Clients event with another musician in their event area. 

 

INCLEMENT WEATHER INCIDENCES. (1) Should inclement weather occur, please understand that Jessie cannot expose her instruments and equipment to rain, extreme cold or high winds. Take into consideration this being a possibility, and make sure to have an alternate location in mind.

 

(2) QUESTION: What if inclement weather occurs and I would like to switch my date around to try and miss the storm?  

 

ANSWER: First, please make sure to have an inclement weather backup site planned.  Unless there is a mandatory evacuation issued, you can still plan to have your event on the same date.  Jessie will still plan to play your event in the case of inclement weather. Second, Jessie is typically able to cancel out a regular restaurant engagement over a contracted wedding or event (ranging from Memorial Day to Labor Day).  Should the client decide to switch their date (at any time) to one that conflicts with Jessie’s restaurant engagement (thus causing Jessie to cancel the restaurant engagement), client would then be responsible for their original balance due plus the cost of the canceled restaurant engagement. 

 

Why do I have to pay for the cancelled restaurant engagement too? Jessie will typically book events anywhere from 1 week to 18 months in advance.  She books anywhere between 50-60 weddings a year and 2-5 nightly gigs between Memorial Day to Labor Day.  The ability to be “flexible with rescheduling” is not always the case.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY. (1) If event is cancelled outside of 14 days prior to event date, the $25 deposit if non-refundable and is applied towards administrative duties. (2) Any cancellation made within 14 days prior to the agreed upon service date will result in full payment of event. (3) If cancellation is initiated by Jessie, all deposits paid to Jessie shall be fully refunded, including the non-refundable deposit. (4) If Client decides to subtract any services to an event, the FINAL BALANCE agreed upon will remain the same. If Client decides to add services to an event, Jessie will adjust the FINAL BALANCE of this contract.  The revised contract will be e-mailed to Client with a note of the revision and price change. (5) Death in the family, medical emergencies, mandatory evacuations and Highway 12 closures are always excusable. Please refer to the MANDATORY EVACUATION AND HIGHWAY 12 CLOSURE section above for more information about such cases.

 

REVISIONS TO CONTRACT. This Contract has been personalized for your specific service request.  This Contract may be revised if services are changed, added, or subtracted after original signing.  Should any revisions be made, revised Contract will be e-mailed to Client.  Should the terms of service change, Jessie will verbally or electronically confirm specific revisions before sending out a new Contract.

 

GOVERNING LAW. This Contract shall be governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
